Welcome Pt. 2

Hi there,

I guess we need to get the hang of blogging together, though it probably is quite hard to write two peoples views into the same post without a separation point, obviously we like any couple are not going to be thinking the exact same thoughts at the same time, to be honest that would just be a little bit weird! Saying that, it is kind of freaky how often we end up saying the same thing or doing the same motion!

So, as described I'm Jonny, I'm English and I'm 22 years old. I currently live in Nottingham and I am enrolled on the BVC, a law course, whilst Nicole is enrolled in her final year of college in California, thus the long distance relationship we are stuck with! I feel that the best introduction I can give to our situation is by recounting the story of how we met (aaaaaw I hear you cry), so gather round children its story time.

Imagine the scene, its autumn (fall) in the beautiful city of Bristol, in the South West of England (NOT London...), in a fairly uncrowded students union bar we meet, at a social I had organised for my sports team. Fortunately Nicole's housemate played the sport, should she not have done we would never have met, and for this I am thankful! We had a brief conversation, but hardly sparks flying nor lengthy, I did however notice distinctly how stunning Nicole looked, and so in order to get her to come to the club I had to convince her friend, it took a bit of effort but was ultimately successful! Did we then get it on in the club? No, haha, I was too shy and I don't think she even noticed me any more than any others...so that was that.

Fast Forward --> its a brisk November in the same city, the 5th November is a night of celebration for us due to it being Bonfire night, celebrating the failure of Guy Fawkes in his attempted bombing of the English Parliament in order to kill the King. We now have fireworks and burn straw guys on the bonfire! Anyway, a friend of mine and fellow team mate was having his usual party on the following saturday to celebrate, and we were both fortunately in attendance. It was a good party, plenty of people, plenty of fireworks and of course plenty of booze! Nicole and I got talking at this party and I ended up asking if she liked the band Death Cab for Cutie [at this point I must urge any readers not familiar with their music to go and have a listen, thanks]. Fortunately for me she did, and they were playing in Bristol on the 16th so I invited her and she agreed [wooop wooop I thought].

The 16th (happened to be my birthday) rolled around and we met up, arrived at the gig only for her to announce her friend liked them and wouldnt mind seeing the gig...little did I know the friend was on standby in case it wasnt a date...was it a date? hmm well niether of us really knew and apperently it hadnt helped that I had invited on fb another couple, of course Nicole didnt know they were a couple...they couldnt make it btw. Anyways so it ended up being the 3 of us...woohoo *sarcasm* but it was a REALLY good gig and there was good conversation during the build up. Anyways due to misfortune / what become good fortune, Nicoles purse had been stolen in Ireland in the week leading up to the gig, thus she had limited funds, so she promised to buy me a birthday drink when she got a bank card back...

This happened the next week, and she asked me out (yup yup girl asks guy) for drinks....did I say yes or no? This blog will be completed later so make sure you come back to find out the next part!!

Jonny x
